The Impression of Increase

A few weeks ago I recorded a video while staying in a gorgeous manor house… for FREE 🙂 

That’s another holiday manifested at zero cost! Just like the huge mansion and swimming pool last summer there was a value exchange… but no monitory exchange to live there.

And what a perfect place to record a video on this topic 🙂

Wallace Wattles on the Impression of Increase: 

“Convey the impression of advancement with everything you do, so that all people shall receive the impression that you are an advancing man, and that you advance all who deal with you. Even to the people whom you meet in a social way, without any thought of business, and to whom you do not try to sell anything, give the thought of increase.” 

I love the bit about conveying the impression of increase to people you meet in a social way. When you do make someones day they remember it for a long time… even if you just make someone smile while they are working and laugh and joke you are spreading ‘good vibes’ to all around you… and what you give out you get back right.

One evening we visited a Famous India Restaurant called Prashad in Bradford… the food was unbelievable. The BEST India food I’ve eaten outside of India.

When the waiter came over to ask “is everything ok?” I told him that “ok” was far to pedestrian a word to describe the gustatory genius I was enjoying… Such was the enthusiasm for my enjoyment of the delightful flavour sensations coupled with my insistence that he pass my compliments on to the chef that at the end of the evening the chief/co-owner of the Restaurant came up to see me…

We chatted for almost half an hours about flavours, textures, India and more, learning a few more cooking secrets along the way, our evening was enhance by delightful exchange…

The Impression of Increase happening on auto-pilot.

We took some time to look around the beautiful walled city of York just a few miles down the road… and I rang that bell 🙂

Again chatting to everyone we meet, from artisan jewellery makers to craft beer vendors spreading good energy and every time giving the impression of Increase.

It costs NOTHING to be nice to people…

      Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu, When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too.
      I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin. When he smiled I realized I’d passed it on to him.
      I thought about that smile, then I realized its worth. A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth.
      So, if you feel a smile begin, don’t leave it undetected. Let’s start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!
